How to Make a Turkey Platter

Here is how to make a Turkey Platter using our Scalloped Platter set with the optional Turkey topper.
To make the Large (Half) Turkey Platter you will need to cut 18 cookies as shown. Since the Scalloped Platter set comes with 2 circle cutters, you will need to cut those two circles in half to make the half circle shapes necessary for the platter. Optionally, if you have a 2.75 inch and 3.5 inch half circle cutters you can use those instead.
These are the 6 shapes you need to form the bottom layer You can get creative with how you color them, but for simplicity and to make it easier to visualize, I colored the entire bottom layer dark brown.
These are the 6 shapes you need to form the middle layer. You can get creative with how you color them, but for simplicity and to make it easier to visualize, I colored the entire middle layer an orange brown.
These are the 5 shapes you need to form the top layer. You can get creative with how you color them, but for simplicity and to make it easier to visualize, I colored the entire top layer grey.
This is how all 18 shapes look stacked with the Turkey shape on top. (Bottom layer is brown, middle layer is orange, and the top layer is grey with the Turkey shape on top.)
You can change the number of layers you use to make different sized platters. For example:
To make a Small (Half) Turkey Platter, you would only use the top (grey) layer cutter. The Small Half Platter measures 6 in x 3.5 in fully assembled.
Using the top layer and the middle layers only, you can make a Medium (Half) Turkey Platter.
This Medium Platter measures 9 x 4.7 inches fully assembled.
If you want a platter with more cookies, you can also use these cutters to make a Full Turkey Platter. For the Full Platter you would not cut the circles in half.
This Platter measures 12 inches wide and uses all 3 layers plus the Turkey shape on top.
You can also do a Full Turkey Platter just using the middle and top layers for a platter of 22 cookies or just using the top layer for a platter of 11 cookies.
These shapes can also be used without the center Turkey to make a Heart Platter for Valentines Day. These platter shapes are very versatile and allow you to make lots of different size options and designs for your guests or your customers.
Happy baking!
